Description

The Hallberg Rassy 36 is a well respected and proven blue water cruiser with excellent build quality, performance and finish.  This particular example is the shallow keel version offering greater flexibility of cruising ground.

This example has been well maintained and is presented in excellent order with replacement sails, a new bowthruster, Simpson davits and more.

Accommodation

The accommodation offers up to seven berths in two cabins and saloon.  V berth forward with infill creating a double, storage above and below, dresser with drawers and locker.  Escape hatch to foredeck.  Heads to port with Jabsco sea toilet to holding tank with pump out, shower, vanity unit with hand basin and H&C water supply, two storage lockers. Hatch and opening port light. Hanging locker opposite to starboard side. Saloon with L shaped dinette to port with drop leaf table and bottle stowage. Lifting backrest with lee-cloth creating a wide single berth. Storage above and below.  Settee berth opposite with lee-cloth.  Deck hatch. Galley to port with stainless steel double sink with H&C water supply, Optimus two burner cooker with oven and grill, Isotherm refrigerated cool box and plenty of storage.  Navigation area with chart table stowage and book shelf.  Walkway from saloon to aft cabin with hanging locker and engine access.  Aft cabin with double berth to starboard and single berth to port, storage above and below. Hanging locker. Deck hatch and 2 x Opening port lights. Curtains and blinds.  Removable carpets (new 2014) over teak and holly floor.

Construction

Built in 2000 by Hallberg-Rassy Varas AB to a design by German Frers. White GRP hull with blue cove line. White GRP superstructure with teak laid decks, cockpit, cockpit coamings, bathing platform and side steps. Aluminium framed windscreen with centre opening section.  Lead shoal draft bulb keel. Teak coachroof grab rails. Teak toerail and rubbing strake with stainless steel insert. Self draining cockpit with cockpit locker to starboard side and teak slatted floor. Transom bathing platform. Self draining anchor locker. Self draining gas locker to starboard side deck. Lazarette to aft deck. Whitlock wheel steering to skeg hung rudder
